Current Position: 1st Year Mechatronics Student at Massey University Palmerston North.
Previous Experience: A year working for a Civil Engineering company as a Draftsman.

Conrad Williams

Current Position: 1st Year Mechatronics Student at Massey University Palmerston North.
Previous Experience: I spent last summer working on a farm. Last year at school I designed and built a motorbike that I raced around Man Field (racetrack in Feilding) and spent some time at Fibre Glass Developments in Feilding making an aerodynamic shell for a sidecar that my friend and I raced.
I have chosen to study at Massey University to increase and broaden my knowlage of mechanical systems in the areas of maths and science and to learn the appropriate behaviour of profetional engineers (e.g. risk management).
With my qualifications I hope to travel and find work in the field of research and development for transportation.

James Batchelar

Current Position: 1st Year Mechatronics Student at Massey University Palmerston North,
Previous Experience: Four years working in automation, mainly for the forestry industry.
I’m studying at university in an attempt to improve my problem solving abilities so I can apply mathematics and use known techniques to more accurately predict the benefits and hold backs of a solution before implementing it.
After completing my studies I hope to travel abroad and work overseas to improve my understanding of the automation sector by experiencing projects that cannot be done in New Zealand.
